The Wind Sensor includes both wind speed and wind direction sensors. The rugged components with sealed stainless ”Vsteel bearings for long life, can stand up to hurricane-forced winds, and yet are sensitive to a light breeze. The Wind Sensor used by a three cup anemometer is a low cost with high performance sensor which matches and exceeds expensive units. The wind speed output is a series of pulses proportional to wind speed, and the output of wind direction is a potentiometer of which the output value is proportional to angle in degrees.
